> WHO WE ARE

Wasted My Ult is a New Zealand web development company. We build custom websites, web apps, and SaaS platforms. This policy explains what personal information we collect through wastedmyult.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

We comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and its information privacy principles.

> WHAT WE COLLECT

Contact form: your name, email address, enquiry type, and message. This is emailed to us via Resend (our email provider) so we can reply to you. That is the only thing it is used for.

Newsletter: your email address, stored with Resend so we can send you the newsletter you asked for. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.

Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used - pages visited, rough location (country/city level), device type, and how you found us. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

Hosting logs: the site is served by Cloudflare, which processes IP addresses as part of normal request handling and security (DDoS protection, bot filtering).

> WHAT WE DO NOT DO

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever.

We do not send marketing email to contact-form enquirers. Filling in the contact form gets you a reply from a human, nothing else.

We do not run third-party advertising or ad-tracking pixels on this site.

> COOKIES & TRACKING

Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity set cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions. These load after the page renders and are used for aggregate statistics only.

You can block these with any standard cookie/tracker blocker, or opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The site works fully without them.

> WHO WE SHARE DATA WITH

Only the service providers needed to run this site: Resend (email delivery and newsletter list), Google (analytics), Microsoft (analytics), and Cloudflare (hosting and security). Each processes data under its own privacy policy and our instructions.

Some of these providers store data outside New Zealand (typically the US or EU). We only use providers with comparable privacy safeguards, as the Privacy Act 2020 requires.

> HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

Contact enquiries: kept in our email for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any project that follows.

Newsletter addresses: kept until you unsubscribe.

Analytics data: retained per Google and Microsoft default retention settings (14 months for GA4).

> YOUR RIGHTS

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will action it promptly.

If you are not happy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

> CLIENT PROJECT DATA

When we build or host software for clients, the data inside those systems belongs to the client. We act only on their instructions, and our confidentiality and hosting agreements govern that work. This policy covers wastedmyult.com itself.
