> TERMS OF ENGAGEMENT

These are the terms every Wasted My Ult website build runs on. They appear on each proposal, they are named in the acceptance tick box, and they are written into the quote. Nothing here is hidden in a PDF.
They exist for one reason: projects stall when the things we need from a client do not arrive, and a stalled project costs both sides. These terms pay for work as it is delivered, keep a project moving when feedback is slow, and put a small, capped, real cost on leaving a build parked. Every charge is tied to something that actually costs us: time already spent, or hosting and a held slot.
> 1. PAYMENTS FOLLOW THE WORK, NOT THE WAIT
50% on acceptance, 40% when the build is delivered for review, 10% at go-live. Each invoice is due in 7 days.
> 2. REVIEW WINDOWS
Each review round has 10 working days. We send a reminder at day 5. If we have not heard back by day 10, that round is treated as approved and the project moves to the next step. You can still ask for changes later; they are handled as a new round.
> 3. WHAT WE NEED, WHEN
The timeline starts when the deposit is paid and we have the content, photos, logins and decisions listed in the proposal. If those arrive late, the timeline moves by the same amount, and we tell you in writing as soon as we know.
> 4. ON HOLD AFTER 30 DAYS
If anything we need from you has been outstanding for 30 days, the project is placed on hold: the site is parked on a private staging address, any unbilled milestone for work already delivered is invoiced, and we release your slot in the schedule.
> 5. HOLDING FEE
While a project is on hold we keep the staging site, repository, backups and your files ready. That costs us, so a holding fee of $50 + GST per week applies from day 31, capped at $600 + GST in total. It stops the week you send what is needed.
> 6. RESTARTING
Restarting after a hold is scheduled as new work with a restart fee of $350 + GST, which covers re-briefing and re-testing. If a project has been on hold for 90 days we close it, hand over everything built so far, and any balance owing is due.
> 7. CARE AND HOSTING
Care and hosting start when the site is ready for launch, whether or not it has gone live, because the hosting is real from that day. Month to month, cancel any time.
> 8. OWNERSHIP
On payment of the build price you own the site, design, content and code.
> HOW THESE APPLY
A proposal shows these terms in full, and accepting it means accepting them for that project. Each proposal records the version in force when it was accepted, so a later change to this page never alters an agreement already made. Care and hosting plans, audits and other services have their own short terms on their proposals.
Wasted My Ult is a New Zealand company and these terms are governed by New Zealand law. If something here does not fit your situation, say so before you accept and we will agree the change in writing.
