> THE PROBLEM
Arborist Auckland’s WordPress site was dated, slow, and working against them. Enquiries came in as one-line messages ("how much to cut down a tree?") with no photos, no location, no context. Every quote started with a phone call or a drive.
Tree work is visual. Without seeing the tree, the access, and the surroundings, an arborist can’t estimate anything. The website needed to collect that information at the point of enquiry.
They also needed to actually show up on Google. Tree services is a locally competitive market in Auckland, and a generic template site with thin content wasn’t ranking for anything.
> WHAT WE BUILT
We rebuilt the site from scratch on Next.js 14, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS v4, deployed on Vercel. The centrepiece is a contact form where customers upload up to 5 photos (10MB each) with their enquiry, delivered straight to email with attachments via Resend.
A WhatsApp click-to-chat button captures the customers who’d rather message than fill in forms. Seven dedicated service pages (removal, pruning, hedge trimming, stump grinding, and more) each target their own local search terms.
The build includes full local SEO setup: metadata, structured data, and content written around what Aucklanders type when they need tree work.
