Wizard IT look after servers, Microsoft 365, security, backups and phones for Auckland businesses, and have done since 2010 with a 5.0 rating from 19 Google reviews. Their website was a 2015 WordPress build with a slider, a page builder and a 4.5 second Largest Contentful Paint. We rebuilt it as a static site around the way they actually work, kept or redirected every old address, and switched the domain over in four minutes without touching their email.

Lighthouse SEO

Our audit scored the WordPress site 65/100. It ranked top ten for 2 of 27 keywords and drew about 19 organic visits a month. The one page on page one was a Microsoft OneDrive article; the page carrying every “it support small business” variant sat at positions 14 to 29. 8 of 12 service pages had fewer than five internal links in the body, and the blog posts linked to a contact address that returned 404.
The Organization schema had no address, phone, hours or rating, though the Business Profile had 5.0 from 19 reviews; one page had HTML leaked inside its JSON-LD. 23 titles ran over 65 characters and seven pages had more than one H1. Mobile Lighthouse was 53, Largest Contentful Paint 4.5 seconds, 2.4MB a page, 244 images without dimensions.
Competitors on page one were all WordPress sites with the same three-card grids and “Learn more” buttons. Wizard IT had 92 referring domains, more than the firms outranking them. Authority was not the problem. The pages were.
We scraped the live site into a research file (68 URLs, five testimonials), ran the keyword map (DataForSEO, Google NZ) and gave each money term one page: it support auckland on the home page, managed it services, it support for small business, cyber security services, backup, VoIP, Microsoft 365, computer repair. Seven service pages with a kicker, a plain answer, an FAQ and the related articles, in the voice of a technician talking to an owner.
Every business fact lives in one file: address, phone, hours, rating, partner badges, staff size. Pages and schema read from it, so a correction such as the move to Glendene or the WatchGuard Gold Partner upgrade is made once. The founding year is deliberately not stated until the client confirms it.
The build fails on its own copy audit: em dashes, a banned-word list, title and description length, one H1 a page, JSON-LD that parses, every internal link resolving, and every one of the 67 old WordPress addresses either a live route or a redirect whose target exists. 80 redirect rules shipped. The contact and Get IT Help forms email the helpdesk and hand the sender a docket number.
Photography is a brief, not stock: no people, still-life and interiors, one deep-purple object in every frame to carry the brand colour. Go-live was DNS only: the two web records on the client’s Cloudflare zone changed to the new host, the Microsoft 365, Intune and DKIM records untouched, certificate issued in four minutes. Both forms were tested live before the client was told.
Facts in one file. Every address, phone number, opening hour and badge on the site comes from a single file, and the build refuses to ship if a page breaks the copy rules. When the client moved offices mid-build, one line changed and 40 pages followed.
