Flyinn sells bucket-list flying holidays with imagery. Their WordPress site buried it. We migrated everything to Next.js 16 and built a pipeline that turned years of tour media into a fast, modern showcase.

Of tour media auto-converted

Flyinn runs guided self-fly vacations from Wanaka: international pilots fly customised 180hp Cessna 172s around New Zealand with an experienced mountain instructor in the right seat. Milford Sound, glacier valleys, beach landings at Big Bay.
The business has been featured by FLYING Magazine as "a true bucket list experience", but their ageing WordPress site didn’t do the experience justice. It was slow to load the photography that sells these tours, and every second of load time on a tourism site is a booking walking out the door.
They also had years of galleries, blog content, and tour information locked in WordPress. A rebuild couldn’t mean starting from zero.
We rebuilt the site in Next.js 16 with TypeScript and Tailwind CSS 4, migrating all content from the old WordPress database: pages, blog posts, and photo galleries.
The unglamorous problem was media: years of HEIC photos and raw videos straight off phones and cameras. We wrote an automated media pipeline that converts everything into optimised web formats, so the galleries could be rebuilt without weeks of manual conversion work.
The new site carries three itinerary showcases, upcoming tour dates, licensing guidance for overseas pilots, a blog, and enquiry and booking forms wired to Resend. Framer Motion powers scroll reveals and parallax throughout, and FAQ structured data targets the questions pilots actually type into Google.
Photography-first rebuild. A tourism site lives or dies on its imagery. The custom media pipeline meant years of tour photos and videos made it onto the new site in optimised formats without weeks of manual work.
